Why is fly protection necessary?
Flies, mosquitoes, and other insects can irritate your horse in warm weather. When flies gather around your horse’s eyes, they can cause inflammation, and insect bites may lead to skin irritation and itching. Using fly protection during these periods helps prevent flies and mosquitoes from reaching your horse’s face and body.
Types of fly protection
QHP’s range includes various types of fly protection. For mild fly activity, a fly fringe can be attached to your horse's head collar, and there are also fly fringes that can be used without a head collar. A fly mask provides more comprehensive head protection, with options available with or without ear covers. Some fly masks even come with a nose flap for added coverage.
